Dispersion analysis of the least‐squares finite‐element shallow‐water system

The frequency or dispersion relation for the least‐squares mixed formulation of the shallow‐water equations is analysed. We consider the use of different approximation spaces corresponding to co‐located and staggered meshes, respectively. The study includes the effect of Coriolis, and the dispersion properties are compared analytically and graphically with those of the mixed Galerkin formulation. Numerical solutions of a test problem to simulate slow Rossby modes illustrate the theoretical results. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Coherent quantum transport in normal-metal/d-wave superconductor/normal-metal double tunnel junctions

Taking into account the effects of quantum interference and interface scattering, combining the electron current with hole current contribution to tunnel current,we study the coherent quantum transport in normal-metal/d-wave superconductor/normal-metal (NM/d-wave SC/NM) double tunnel junctions by using extended Blonder-Tinkham-Klapwijk (BTK) approach. It is shown that all quasiparticle transport coefficients and conductance spectrum exhibit oscillating behavior with the energy, in which periodic vanishing of Andreev reflection (AR) above superconducting gap is found.In tunnel limit for the interface scattering strength taken very large, there are a series of bound states of quasiparticles formed in SC.     

重入自旋玻璃尖晶石系统CoxZn1-x(FeyCr1-y)2O4中的微波磁共振

研究了具有重入自旋玻璃转变的尖晶石系统Co_xZn_1-x(Fe_yCr_1-y)₂O₄(0.4≤x≤0.8,y=O.5,0.8)中的微波磁共振,获得了共振线型、共振线宽、共振场、g因子、积累强度等共振参数与温度的依赖关系,并研究了磁性离子Co²⁺的浓度对共振线宽的影响。采用自旋成团效应及局域混乱场模型讨论了这些实验现象的机制,认为在一定条件下自旋团的形成、发展 关键词：     

Kinetics of the reactions of the IO radical with dimethyl sulfide,methanethiol, ethylene,and propylene

The reactions of IO radicals with CH₃SCH₃, CH₃SH, C₂H₄, and C₃H₆ have been studied using the discharge flow method with direct detection of IO radicals by mass spectrometry. The absolute rate constants obtained at 298 K are the following: IO + CH₃SCH₃ → products (1): k₁ = (1.5 ± 0.2) × 10^?14; IO + CH₃SH → products (2): k₂ = (6.6 ± 1.3) × 10^?16; IO + C₂H₄ →products (3): k₃ < 2 × 10^?16; IO + C₃H₆ → products (4): k₄ < 2 × 10^?16 (units are cm³ molecule^?1 s^?1). CH₃S(O)CH₃ and HOI were found as products of reactions (1) and (2), respectively. The present lower value of k₁ compared to our previous determination is discussed.     

Electronic Structure and Magnetic Properties of SmCo7-xZrx

The electronic structure and magnetism of SmCo_7-xZr_x alloy are investigated using the spin-polarized MS-X. method. The results show that a few of electrons are transferred to the Sm(5d⁰) orbital due to orbital hybridization between Sm and Co atoms. The exchange interactions between 3d and 5d electrons are more important than the polarization effects of the conductive electrons, thus it is the main reason resulting in the long-range ferromagnetic order in SmCo_7-xZr_x. The Curie temperature of SmCo_7-xZr_x is generally lower than that of corresponding pure Co, which may be explained by the weaker average coupling strength between Co lattices due to some negative couplings mainly occurring of 2e site. The calculated results for the Sm₅Co₃₂Zr₂ cluster may lead to a better understanding of why SmCo_7-xZr_x is stable phase. Since the spin-up DOS peak of d electrons at E_F arises and the bonding of electrons at E_F strengthens with increasing Zr concentration, which results in the internal energy of the system decrease, the stable ferromagnetic order forms in SmCo_7-xZr_x.     

A Heterogeneous Agent Herding Model with Time and Space Effect

We propose a heterogeneous agent herding model, in which the agent clusters are in active or inactive states. When agent clusters are in active states, they tend to buy or sell. In active states, an exchange may occur when two heterogeneous agent clusters encounter each other, and they may merge into a bigger one when two homogeneous agent clusters meet. The ratio of successful exchange or merging depends on two parameters： i.e. the reliability κ, reflecting the credible degree in the interacting agent clusters, being the space effect of the market, and the response degree q, reflecting the influence of the former trading to the current action, being the time effect of the market. Our numerical calculation shows that the dynamics of the model exhibits some behaviour very close to real markets when tuning the reliability and the degree of reaction to some specific values.     

水汽在淀积金属钠的InP(111)表面的吸附

用UPS和HREELS研究室温下水汽在清洁的和淀积了金属钠的InP(111)表面的吸附。表面淀积了0.3单层金属钠之后,水汽在InP(111)表面的粘附系数显著增加,推测其原因可能与钠原子和表面的磷原子间的电荷转移有关。水汽主要以不分解的分子态形式吸附在表面。在HREELS谱中观察到与P—H键有关的282meV能量损失峰,表明部分水汽可能与淀积在表面的钠原子发生反应或者在表面发生分解。 关键词：     

KrVI离子能级和振子强度的理论计算

利用组态相互作用理论和参数外推法,计算了KrVI离子4s~24p—4s4p~2、4s~24p—4s~24d和4s4p~2—4p~3跃迁的能级、谱线波长和振子强度。与已有实验结果比较表明:波长的理论计算值与观测值在0.7A内很好符合,振子强度的理论计算值较大的跃迁均是实验中观测到的跃迁。
